Helping You Work Through Probate Administration
A majority of my probate administration work centers on uncontested estates under $40,000. I work closely with executors, administrators and personal representatives at all stages of the probate process, from the admission of a will into the probate process to the final distribution of benefits. I will prepare and file all documents required to complete probate and will act on behalf of the estate in all proceedings before the probate court.
Once the will is admitted to probate, I will help you prepare an accounting of the assets of the estate, obtain property valuations when needed, satisfy the final debts and tax obligations of the estate, and oversee the orderly distribution of property under the terms of the will. I can help you with independent administration of an estate (generally done without the intervention of the court) and supervised administration, where the court oversees the actions required to close the estate.
If challenges arise, whether in the form of a will contest, an action for an accounting of assets, or an allegation of fraud or undue influence, I will act as advocate for the interests of the estate.
